EAPS@HOME is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in Artificial Intelligence. EAPS@HOME is currently based on a private server in Perth Australia.

The initial aim of this project is to assess the usefulness of Computational Intelligence (successor to Artificial Intelligence) and Distributed Computing.

The initial branch of AI that is being investigated is Evolutionary Algorithms (EA's) which uses some mechanisms inspired by biological evolution: reproduction, mutation, recombination, and selection. More specifially, EAPS@HOME is utilising Genetic Algotithms (GA's) to search for and optimize potential solutions.

The initial EAPS@HOME application will be using GA's to search for candidate solutions which are represented as expression trees of stock market entry/exit trading rules. These rules are generated, refined and tested on equities using daily standard stock price CSV files containing open, close, high, low and volume data. The best performing trading rules will then be published daily on this site with their associated real life results.
