DENIS (Distributed computing. Electrophysiological models. Networking collaboration. In silico research. Sharing knowledge) forscht im Bereich Herz-Elektrophysiologie. Mit der Nutzung virtueller Modelle von Herzzellen sollen Informationen darüber generiert werden.

Die Simulationen dienen als Suche für Biomarker, wobei dieser Teil allerdings nicht mehr zum Projekt gehört. Unsere Arbeit soll ein Werkzeug für Wissenschaftler sein, um gültige Simulationen von Zellen zu generieren. Derzeit wird nur ein Modell benutzt, in der Zukunft werden aber Simulationen mehrerer Zellmodelle erstellt.
